AKUAPIM SOUTH MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY  coat of arms

Works Department Receives New Vehicle to Improve Development Control and Field Monitoring

2026 New Vehicle The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Akuapim South Municipal Assembly, Hon. Paul Ossae Offei, has presented a new Mitsubushi L200 pickup vehicle to the Assembly’s Works Department to improve its operational efficiency and address transportation challenges within the municipality.

Presenting the vehicle on Wednesday, 1 July 2026, Hon. Paul Ossae Offei commended the Assembly for its collective efforts in making the procurement possible. He noted that while the municipality faces numerous infrastructure and development challenges, the Works Department had been constrained by the lack of a dedicated vehicle to effectively carry out its mandate. He described the acquisition as timely and essential to enhancing service delivery.

The MCE further disclosed that this is the first vehicle to be procured by the Assembly solely through its Internally Generated Fund (IGF), describing it as a significant milestone. He added that plans are underway to procure vehicles for other departments facing similar transportation challenges.

Receiving the vehicle on behalf of the Assembly, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Emmanuel Appiah-Kubi, expressed appreciation to the Assembly and the Municipal Chief Executive for the initiative. He assured management that the vehicle would be used strictly for its intended purpose and maintained properly to ensure its longevity and continued service to the municipality.
